From locked-down PDF to a spreadsheet you can actually work with.
Every transaction on its own row, every column ready to filter and pivot. Built for bookkeepers, freelancers, and finance teams who live in Excel.
/ 01 SPREADSHEET-READY
One row per transaction
Every transaction becomes a single Excel row. Filter by date range, sort by amount, or pivot on the description column.
/ 02 CATEGORISABLE
Ready for categorisation
Because descriptions land in a dedicated column, you can add your own category column and apply rules to segment spend.
/ 03 IMPORTABLE
Feeds accounting tools
Excel is the lingua franca of bookkeeping. Once your statement is in Excel, saving it as CSV for import into most accounting software is a single click.
/ 01 THE POINT OF EXCEL
Why turn a statement into Excel at all?
A PDF statement is a printable receipt of your account activity. An Excel version is the same information, but usable — you can filter for a vendor, sum spend by month, tag transfers, or highlight anomalies.
For accountants, freelancers, and small-business owners, that difference matters at month-end. Reconciliation, expense reports, and tax categorisation all live in spreadsheets.
/ 02 THE OUTPUT
What you get in the Excel file
The output is a single-sheet .xlsx workbook. Rows are transactions; columns mirror the source statement — typically Date, Description, Debit, Credit, and Balance. Where the source PDF includes running balances, those are preserved.
The workbook is not styled or coloured — the aim is a clean, importable file you can build on top of. You can save it as CSV from Excel with File → Save As → .csv if a downstream tool needs CSV.
/ 03 WORKFLOWS THAT BENEFIT
Where converting bank statements to Excel helps most
Bookkeeping and reconciliation — match the bank's record against your accounting entries. In Excel this is a five-minute VLOOKUP rather than an hour of side-by-side scrolling.
Expense analysis — group by description with a pivot table to see where money actually went. Useful for both personal budgeting and business expense review.
Tax categorisation — mark each row with a category column, then filter by category at year-end to hand a clean summary to your accountant.

Common questions
- Drop your PDF on the homepage. The converter reads the transaction table and returns an .xlsx file. If the source PDF has an unusual layout, the Inspect tool lets you correct the column boundaries and re-extract.
